Time to go Shopping
Once those preparations are out of the way, it is time to find the right property for you. This is the fun part!
Take a Drive
Get to know the neighborhoods, subdivisions or complexes that interest you. Drivearound and get a feel for what it would be like to own a property in that area. Get out
and take a walk, get a sense of the neighboring properties. Take a drive through the
neighborhood at night. This will help you gauge your ultimate comfort level.
Narrow Your Search
Select a few properties that interest you the most and ask your real estate agent tomake appointments to visit them. Your agent can inform you of the potential long
term resale value of the properties you are considering.
Time to Buy
Once you have found the property you want to purchase, your real estate agent willhelp you make an offer that the seller will accept. A good agent will investigate the
potential costs and expenses associated with the new property. Your agent will also
help draft your offer in a way that gives you the advantage over another offer.
